Dr. Radha Velchuri is currently serving as the Principal of MJPTBCWRDC. She is an accomplished academician and researcher with a strong background in Chemistry and extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic administration.
Educational Qualifications
She earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Osmania University in 2012. Her doctoral research was titled “Metathesis Synthesis and Spectral Characterization of Borates and Phosphates.”
Research Contributions
- Published 44 research papers in peer-reviewed National and International journals indexed in SCI.
- Participated in around 10 national conferences across India.
- Specialization in synthesis of nanomaterials and bulk materials.
- Expertise in material characterization, photoluminescence, and photoactivity studies.
- Experience in metathesis and sol-gel methods for borates and phosphates.
- Doping studies involving Sn²⁺, Ag⁺, and nitrogen.
- Hands-on experience with powder XRD and FT-IR techniques.

- Worked as a Fast Track Young Scientist on the DST-sponsored project “Synthesis and Photocatalytic Activity of Bulk and Nano-Sized Metal Titanates” under the guidance of Dr. N. R. Munirathnam at C-MET, Hyderabad.
- Served as a Research Associate at Osmania University in a DST-funded project under the supervision of Prof. M. Vithal, Department of Chemistry.
