Employability skills training was conducted for final year students by Naandi Foundation.

EVENT 1: SEMINAR ON FUTURE SKILLS
A seminar on future skills in collaboration with Cognizant Outreach and Leadership team.

EVENT 2: INDUSTRIAL VISITS TO COGNIZANT
The students were made to interact with one of Cognizant’s project clients called Talcott. During the interaction, the client addressed students’ questions related to industry and projects.
- Post lunch, students were trained about various basics and shortcuts in MS Office tools like MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc., with hands-on experience.
- Students were given tasks to complete in MS Office and successfully completed them with excellence.
- Students were awarded certificates of participation and merit for attending and performing well in completing the tasks given in MS Office training.
EVENT 3: MOCK INTERVIEWS
After the mock interview, the overall best performing students were given certificates. About 40 students received appreciation certificates as best performers in the employability skills training conducted by Cognizant Outreach team.

Mock Assembly Program

REPORT
The Department of Arts organized a Mock Assembly Program to provide students with practical knowledge
about the functioning of a legislative assembly and to create awareness about democratic processes.
The program aimed to enhance students’ leadership skills, communication abilities, and understanding
of parliamentary procedures.

Students from BA (EPH) and BA (PPGEP) courses actively participated in the Mock Assembly.

Students were assigned the following roles:
- Speaker
- Chief Minister
- Ministers
- Opposition Leader
- Members of the House

Students actively participated by presenting arguments, raising questions, and defending their viewpoints.

The discussions mainly focused on the following topics:
- Education
- Women Empowerment
- Social Development

The Speaker maintained discipline and ensured the smooth conduct of the session, making the program
similar to a real legislative assembly.
The Mock Assembly program proved to be highly informative, interactive, and engaging for the students.
It helped them understand democratic procedures and improved their confidence in public speaking.
