Badminton is a popular racquet sport played by two players (singles) or two teams of two players (doubles). The game is played on a rectangular court divided by a net. Players use racquets to hit a shuttlecock back and forth over the net, aiming to land it in the opponent’s court to score points. Badminton requires speed, agility, and quick reflexes. It is played both recreationally and professionally around the world. The sport is governed internationally by the Badminton World Federation and is also included in the Olympic Games.
